Three Giants boys basketball players received Minnesota River Conference honors for the 2022-23 season.
Junior Grant Adams and senior Dylan Graff both received MRC All-Conference honors, while senior Cayden Luna received MRC All-Conference honorable mention.
Adams played guard for the Giants and led the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game and 3.0 assists per game. He took on an increased role as point guard for most of the season and received a lot of attention from opposing teams. This is Adams’ second time receiving MRC All-Conference honors.
Graff played forward this season and led the team in rebounding with 7.8 rebounds per game and 1.1 blocks per game. He was also second for the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game. He really improved this season and became one of the team’s key players.
Joining Adams and Grant on the MRC All-Conference list are:
Joe Ballalatak, Sibley East, junior, guard; Emmett Gerres, Belle Plaine, senior, guard; Marcus Johnson, Mayer Lutheran, senior, center; Braeden O’Neil, Norwood-Young America, senior, post; Connor Radtke, Lester Prairie, junior, forward; Ryan Retzer, Belle Plaine, senior, center; Trever Schauer, Lester Prairie, junior, guard; Andrew Siegle, Belle Plaine, senior, forward/wing; Noah Strickfaden, Norwood-Young America, senior, guard; and Reggie Vosejpka, Tri-City United, junior, forward.
Joining Luna on the MRC All-Conference honorable mention list are:
Aaron Druley, Norwood-Young America, senior, guard; Alek Hodny, Lester Prairie, junior, forward; Luke Holicky, Tri-City United, junior, guard; Zach Kettner, Sibley East, senior, forward; Ethan Martin, Belle Plaine, freshman, forward; and Tanner Scheevel, Lester Prairie, senior, guard.
Braeden O’Neil of Norwood-Young America was named by conference coaches the 2022-23 MRC Most Valuable Player.
Paul Fogarty of Belle Plaine and Kyle Strickfaden of Norwood-Young America were named MRC Boys Basketball Outstanding Coaches for 2022-23.
